Downtown Salisbury is raising a glass to something new!
T.A.P.S. — short for To-go Alcohol in Public Spaces — is a first-of-its-kind program in Maryland, allowing adults 21 and over to purchase a to-go alcoholic beverage and enjoy it while strolling through designated areas of our vibrant downtown during select events.
Step 1: Visit a participating restaurant or bar. Look for the T.A.P.S. signage or just ask your server if they're part of the program.
Step 2: Get verified. Once your ID is checked, you’ll receive a T.A.P.S. wristband and your drink served in a T.A.P.S.-branded cup.
Step 3: Sip & Stroll! You’re now free to take your beverage with you as you explore the event within the clearly marked T.A.P.S. boundaries.
Only official T.A.P.S. cups are allowed.
You may not bring your own alcohol or cup into the T.A.P.S. area. All drinks must be purchased from participating bars and restaurants in T.A.P.S.-approved cups.
Stay within the boundaries.
T.A.P.S. zones are clearly marked with signs. Leaving the area with a drink is not allowed and may result in penalties.
No drinks inside other businesses.
Before entering a different shop, restaurant, or bar, please finish or discard your beverage.
T.A.P.S. is only available during select events.
